  • Are backpacks allowed at the Columbus Zoo?

    Backpacks up to 22" long x 10" wide x 12" high are permitted at the Columbus Zoo. Hard and soft coolers up to 14" x 14" are also allowed. All wheeled bags are prohibited, including wheeled suitcases and coolers. Bag check facilities are located just outside the zoo entrance.
  • What kinds of kids exhibits are at the Columbus Zoo?

    There are six unique geographical regions to explore, including Australia and the Islands, Congo Expedition, Shores, Asia Quest, North America, and Heart of Africa. The zoo also features boat rides, camel rides, pony rides, playgrounds, a train, and a Grand Carousel.
